Custom Cymbal Services

If you have any questions about our cymbal services, please let us know. All cymbal services are done at Saluda Cymbals. Any name brand cymbal can be worked on. All cymbal repairs must be ordered in email form or over the phone. We can do simple jobs such as cutting around small edge cracks or for badly cracked cymbals, we can cut these down and further modified to create unique cymbals.

Don't toss out you cracked cymbals, allow Saluda Cymbals to make you something new. Ask for more details.

If your cymbal needs a little added complexity and more sweetness, we can hand hammer your cymbal. Please note that we are not responsible for cracks that occur in the hammering process. Before sending us any cymbals to hammer, please thoroughly check your cymbals for any possible signs of tension/stress cracks.

Cymbal Services

Crack Repair Price
This is for edge cracks: We will cut around the crack removing as little metal as possible and smooth the edges (keeping cymbal same size). $16.00
This is for cutting your cymbal down to a smaller size, depending where crack is located. $28.00
Cymbal Services Price
Venting bottom hi-hat (under bell with 2 or 3 small holes) to release air-lock. If you cymbals have a muffled 'chick' sound when opening and closing, they can benefit from this service $18.00
Venting bottom hi-hat (in body of cymbal) with 3 or 4 vents to release air-lock and to quicken the response and this also dries the tone. $28.00
Venting your existing cymbal in a design for up to 1" holes (as many holes as you like). We will also vent your cymbal to a design that you create! $28.00
Cymbal Thinning: We will thin your cymbal up to 500 grams, which we can thin the whole cymbal or mainly thin the edges to get your cymbal to open up easier. $42.00
Cymbal Hammering: We will rehammer your cymbal which increases complexity and adds more playing control. Hammering doesn't necessarily lower the tone but it adds more fullness. Price Depends on Size and Time
For Example a 20" ride would be right around $100.00
Turning a Traditional Finish into a Brilliant Finish (you will lose most to all logos) $38.00
Pre-Age finish your cymbal (top and/or bottom), you will lose all logos $24.00
Lathe different striping zones into your cymbal. For instance, we can turn a brilliant cymbal into a hybrid design with half brilliant and half traditional (this also thins the edges slightly) $36.00
Smoothing Edges (smooth rough edges and drop dings) $16.00
