Services

Drum Gear Online offers custom services to compliment the drum and cymbal products we sell.

Drum Shell Services

Our drum shells come with bearing edges and snare beds (if required), but for a small extra fee we can also add reinforcing rings, or pre-drill your shell so you can leave the math, hard work, and risk of error to us!

Cymbal Services

All cymbal services we perform are done at the Saluda Cymbals facility. We can modify or repair any brand of cymbal, or add custom features to your new Saluda Cymbals such as venting, drilling, rivets, custom logos and anything you can dream up! Here are a few of the standard services we offer:

Edge Cracks can be repaired by removing the metal surrounding the crack, taking away as little material as possible. New edges are smoothed.

If your cymbal has multiple cracks along its edge, you may want to remove the outer edge of the entire cymbal, reducing its diameter, but restoring the entire edge of the cymbal. Pricing averages $28.00

If your cymbal has tiny drop dings or flea bites along its edge, it could lead to a crack. We will carefully smooth the edge to prevent further damage and prolong the life of the cymbal. Pricing starts at $16

If your cymbal has warped, we can fix it!  . Pricing averages $40-60 depending on cymbal size and degree of warp

If one or both of your hi-hats have warped, they won’t close properly or sit level. We will fix the chick! Pricing averages $30 depending on cymbal size and degree of warp

If you’re looking for faster hi-hat response or reduce air-lock for better and louder chick sound, adding vents will get you the sound you’re looking for. Pricing averages $18-20 based on size and number of vents.

Venting your existing cymbal in a design for up to 1 1/2″ holes (as many holes as you like). We will also vent your cymbal to a design that you create! Pricing starts at $28, based on size and number of vents.

We’ll trim the fat from your existing cymbal! Pricing starts at $40

We will rehammer your cymbal, which increases complexity and adds more playing control. Hammering doesn’t necessarily lower the tone but it adds more depth of sound to even the most “vanilla” cymbal! Pricing starts at $40

Add a brilliant finish to any traditional finish cymbal. Please note that ink stamps are usually lost in this process. Pricing starts at $38

Add a rustic, pre-aged patina style finish to any cymbal. Please note that ink stamps will be lost in this process. Pricing starts at $24
